Environmental Engineering studies are interdisciplinary in nature, enabling the training of specialists who can combine engineering and technical knowledge and skills with knowledge of natural sciences, particularly those related to processes occurring in the natural environment.

Graduates of first-cycle environmental engineering studies can apply for Polish licenses to perform independent technical functions in construction, specializing in installations in the following networks, installations, and devices:

  • water and sewage,
  • heating,
  • ventilation,
  • gas

in design and construction to a limited extent.

After obtaining a Master of Science in Engineering, they can apply for unrestricted licenses.

The core subjects included in the Environmental Engineering field of study teaching program include:

  • heating,
  • ventilation,
  • air conditioning,
  • waterworks,
  • water and wastewater technology,
  • sewerage,
  • noise and vibration protection,
  • product life cycle assessment,
  • gas networks and installations,
  • fire protection systems,
  • investment process management in environmental engineering,
  • waste management,
  • water management and water protection,
  • biofuel technology,
  • alternative energy sources.

Graduates of the Environmental Engineering program can work as:

  • designers in design offices,
  • contractors and operators of investments in the fields of construction, sanitary equipment, networks and installations, waste management, and environmental management and remediation,
  • auditors in companies and institutions,
  • in administration and local governments,
  • in foundations and non-governmental organizations related to environmental engineering,
