Main Research Areas of the Department:

• Intensification of biogas production from poorly biodegradable biomass through co-digestion, feedstock pre-treatment, and bioaugmentation,

• Valorization of waste biomass in terms of its suitability for energy production and carbon sequestration in soil,

• Enhancement of energy crop biomass production on degraded land,

• Methods for the management of waste generated from the extraction of energy resources and energy production processes.
