Research Infrastructure and Capabilities
The Department offers the possibility to conduct research in the following areas: deposition of metallic and semiconductor coatings using magnetron sputtering systems; UV–Vis spectroscopy; scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX); scanning tunneling microscopy (STM); atomic force microscopy (AFM); current–voltage (I–V) characterization of solar cells using a solar simulator; sheet resistance measurements; semiconductor doping processes; and environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of products and engineering systems.
