1st grade, full-time studies, 7 semesters, engineering studies

Renewable Energy Engineering is a field of study that prepares versatile specialists with design qualifications. It teaches how to use renewable energy sources to produce electricity and heat, among other things. Future graduates are prepared for work in numerous sectors of modern industry. The skills and knowledge acquired during their studies allow them to find employment in large corporations or run their own businesses in this field.

The core subjects included in the Energy field of study teaching program include:

  • photovoltaic installations,
  • solar collectors and heat pumps,
  • electric power,
  • nanotechnologies,
  • hydropower,
  • hydropower structures,
  • biofuels,
  • product life-cycle assessment,
  • modelling and computer simulations in renewable systems,
  • heating,
  • ventilation and air conditioning,
  • building energy assessment.

Graduates of the Renewable Energy Engineering program can find employment in:

  • designers in design offices,
  • contractors and operators of energy investments, renewable energy equipment, networks, and installations,
  • enterprises producing, generating, and distributing electricity and heat,
  • manufacturing units producing equipment and components for pro-ecological energy projects,
  • in institutions administering and monitoring the operation of facilities such as photovoltaic and wind farms, solar collector systems, biogas plants, and biofuel plants. in administration and local government,
  • in foundations and non-governmental organizations related to renewable energy engineering,
  • in research institutions and education,
  • in their own businesses related to the design, construction, operation, and distribution of materials and installation equipment in the field of renewable energy engineering,
  • in managerial positions in public and private institutions related to the energy industry,

in the design and construction of investments and the operation of facilities in the energy sector.
